CBRE is the global leader in commercial real estate services and investment. A key tool in its effective property management expertise is its proprietary Host app, which enables CBRE to develop and deliver experiential, digital solutions for investor and landlord clients, their properties and customers. As CBRE’s long-term partner, Hamilton-Brown was engaged to create a demo video to promote Host.
The Host platform comprises three elements: ‘People’, ‘Place’ and ‘Digital’ to enhance CBRE’s customer experience. The task for our demo video was two-fold: to explain how the Host app works, and to showcase its benefits to CBRE’s property management team and to its users.
The video had multiple functions to perform. We needed to maintain the purpose of the app and all the advantages it delivers, bring it to life visually, and drive product message consistency across all CBRE’s markets. We would also need to leverage engaging short-form content that could be easily expanded later to provide deep-dives into any specific features and partner integrations.
This multi-purpose video needed to be visually appealing and interactive – balancing professionalism with personality – and always stay within the CBRE brand guidelines. An additional project complexity came from the app itself, which had a wide range of information and levels. It was critical to select the most appropriate features to highlight, with a consistent design element that would pull everything together.
We created an engaging, multifaceted video that aligned with other CBRE property management tools and the client’s overall visual identity. By building flexibility into the design process, the video can be easily adapted to promote other Host app features in the future. The video was rolled out across EMEA and APAC.
